The 3rd CHRONOS retreat is going to take place in Chicago on August 4 and 5 at the Best Western Grant Park Hotel. The agenda and travel information will be available on line by the end of July.

The
2005 NAPC will take place in Halifax, Canada, June 19-26, 2005. In the program also a session on taxonomic databases sponsored by CHRONOS and convened by C. Cervato (ISU), H. Lane (NSF), and B. Huber (SI). Abstract submission deadline is January 31, 2005. Pre-registration ends March 30.

This poster session will take place at the
AAPG / SEPM Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas, April 9 - 12, 2006. It will address the utilities and the applications that CHRONOS affords to researchers, technology developers, and technology service providers within the petroleum geology community. Presentations will showcase CHRONOS tools and data sources, including:
- Tools: Time Scale Creator, Age Depth Plotter, Paleontologic Stratigraphic Interval Construction and Analysis Tool (PSICAT), CONOP9, and CoreWall;
- Data Sources: PaleoStrat, Paleobiology, Neptune, Janus, TimeScale, and Taxonomic and Geochemistry Databases
The session is sponsored by SEPM/NAMS. Abstract are due before October 4 at
the AAPG/SEPM web site, Theme 5, Session P-83.

CHRONOS and PaleoStrat will be featured in three presentations at the 2005
EGU meeting in Vienna, Austria (April 24-29, 2005). A session on
geoinformatics for stratigraphy, sedimentology and paleontology (SSP23), convened by Jens Klump and Robert Huber, includes 17 oral and poster presentations and will take place on Thursday 28 April -

A townhall meeting on GeoSystems and CHRONOS is also going to take place on Monday 25 April between 5:30 PM and 8 PM in room 19 at the convention center.
