Travel

Chicago.s two airports, O.Hare and Midway, are well served by the main US airlines http://www.ohare.com. Downtown is easily reached from both airports with CTA trains http://www.transitchicago.com Using the train, below are the directions from O.Hare and Midway airports. The walk from the Roosevelt station is less than 1/4 mile.

MIDWAY AIRPORT:

  • Take the Orange Line train from Midway Airport towards the Loop.
  • Exit at Roosevelt
  • Walk East toward Wabash Street
  • Make a left onto Wabash (heading North)Make a Right onto 11th Street (heading East)
  • The hotel is located about half a block down.

O'HARE AIRPORT:

  • Take the Blue Line Train from O'hare Airport towards the Loop.
  • Exit at Jackson
  • Walk accross to the Red Line Trains (free of charge) take the one going towards Dan Ryan - DO NOT take the one going towards Howard
  • Exit at Roosevelt
  • Walk East toward Wabash Street
  • Make a left onto Wabash (heading North)
  • Make a Right onto 11th Street (heading East)
  • The hotel is located about half a block down.

Shared-ride shuttles [http://www.airportexpress.com/] can also take you to the hotel for approx. $22 one-way (a $2 coupon can be downloaded from the site).

Lodging

The meeting will take place at the Best Western Grant Park Hotel (1100 S. Michigan Ave.) where a block of room has been reserved [http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do?propertyCode=14120] at a rate of $95 plus tax per night for single/double room. Participants will pay for their hotel accommodation and will be reimbursed after the meeting. Information on reimbursement is given at the bottom.
